Powers and Abilities: Sal has no powers of his own. Although he's part of a prophecy (which he is unaware of), the only abilities he had were tied to items that he doesn't currently have in his possession: a handheld game console modified to allow him to communicate with the dead, and a guitar modified to fight against demons. So, he can play the guitar.
What Did Your Character Wish For? For The Devourers of God to be unable to hurt anyone else.

1. Who is the person your character is most bonded with from their canon? Or who is someone they miss the most?
Larry Johnson--a boy a year older than Sal. They met when Sal and his father moved into Addison Apartments and became fast friends, sharing a love for metal music and art. They both get embroiled into the strange happenings in the apartment complex where they both live, and go to the same local High School together. Eventually, Sal's father marries Larry's mother, and the two make it clear that they're as tightly knit as real brothers.
2. What are they most afraid of?
The cult, The Devourers of God, achieving their goal of unleashing a terrible demonic force into the world. In his time living in Addison Apartments, Sal had seen firsthand the evil things they were capable of, and knows that they're planning something even more awful than he can imagine. Despite the investigation he's been doing with his friends, it definitely feels as if they're in over their heads--would they even be able to stop an atrocity from happening, if it came to it?
3. What is their weakness? Emotionally, mentally and physically?
Emotionally, Sal is easily hurt by being judged for how he looks. He's not at all vain, and he's grown used to being treated differently for his appearance (both masked and unmasked), but it still takes a toll on him to have it pointed out. Mentally, he struggles with the idea that he is responsible for his mother's death and the resulting damage this had on his father's well-being. Being unable to help others, being powerless, is therefore hard for him to cope with whenever those times arise. Physically, he's very petite young man, short-statured and unathletic. He's not the type to ever resort to violence if he can help it, but even if he was he wouldn't do much good in a fight. Sal also suffers from depression, anxiety, chronic nightmares, and migraines--all of which he was on medication for. He's missing one eye, so he has a limited field of vision.
4. What would make them happiest?
As cheesy as it sounds, the happiness of his friends and family is what's most important to him. Sal has always been the selfless type, always thinking of his loved ones. He shows compassion even toward the school bully, not hesitating to put aside the way he's been treated in favor of helping the other boy when Sal finds him in distress. Sal would carry unimaginable burdens in order to help those around him.
5. What’s their type for a lover?
Due to his disfigurement, Sal tends to be of the belief that he's unlikely to have much of a love life in the first place. Only a couple of people in his life have ever looked at his face without flinching first--it's a fact that's taken its toll on his self-esteem. Someone who can look at him without horror, look at him like he's normal, is the only real thing that he needs. If he was being any pickier than that, Sal would want someone kind and considerate, who he gets along well with. He's definitely more the type to commit himself to a romantic relationship before becoming physically intimate with someone. The needs of his heart is a much higher priority to him than those of his body.
